In the Define Function dialog there is an ‘Evaluate Button’ which allows you to use this dialog as a calculator or to quickly do a syntax check on the expression.
Enter a value for x and click the button, the answer will be displayed if the expression is not in error. Note that if you have multiple functions entered, only the first one can be evaluated in this way.
